I survived Shaun Week.

Last week Beachbody launched it’s first special event week, Shaun Week, featuring Super Trainer Shaun T. This week gave us 7 new workouts. Each morning, when I woke up to workout, the new workout was waiting for me like a shiny present in my Beachbody On Demand library.  Shaun Week is a 7-day intensive full body boot camp developed by Shaun T to motivate you to focus like you’ve never focused before. And dig deeper than you ever thought possible.

If you are familiar with Insanity or Focus T25, then these workouts will look a bit familiar. Although they are new, they follow a similar format, incorporating cardio, intense strength conditioning, abs/core, and a ton of sweat. Here’s a list of what workouts are included in Shaun Week.

Day 1: Insane Basics 33 Those new or old to Shaun T’s workouts will love the all-out hustle of these INSANITY-inspired moves.
Day 2: Pure Cardio 2 29 Stay hydrated, because the nonstop movement will leave your body drenched.
Day 3: Insane Weights 33 You thought INSANITY was hard…now try it with weights.
Day 4: 25 Abs 28 Focus your mind on your core and the results will come.
Day 5: Ripsanity 43 More weights and feeling ripped as Shaun T keeps you focused through these insane moves.
Day 6: Speed 4.0 31 Crazy awesome music and moves using only your body weight will give you a fast-paced push to results.
Day 7: Dig Deep 27 You’ve heard it. Now do it. Shaun will help you push yourself harder than you ever thought possible with an array of strength, agility, and cardio training moves.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT Weights or Resistance Band needed for two of the workouts.
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT Exercise Mat and Chair (for optional modifier)

The one thing I absolutely adore about Shaun is his incredible motivation. You have heard me say it before, but his ability to make you feel like he is in the room with you is like no other. Although I adore many of the other Super Trainers, Shaun is unique. His belief in you, when you may not have any in yourself, keeps you going and before long, you accomplished something and in turn gained belief in yourself.

My favorite workout of the week was Insane Weights. Combining cardio with weights is my jam. How about you? Are you a cardio junkie? Or do you like lifting weights Or a combo of both?

I am really glad I did Shaun Week as it happened first. It was totally what I needed last week to push me and challenge me. I love workouts that are a mental workout too. Who doesn’t want to be the best version of themselves – mentally AND physically? I know I do! I want to be able to have the energy to get through my day, to have the mental strength to deal with the every day stresses of life, and to be in the best shape to keep up with my daughters.

As you can see in the video, our youngest joined us for Day 4, 25 Abs, and she did amazing. Kids are always watching you – be a wonderful role model for them and teach them habits that they can carry through with them always.
